The Respiratory Screener in the Palm of your Hand!
In comparison with other accepted Screening Devices, the SOMNOscreen™ RC, in the basic unit, already provides an Actimeter for Sleep/Wake estimation, an Ambient Light Sensor for determining the relevant measurement time, a built in Effort Sensor for measuring Thoracic or Abdominal Effort, and a Pressure Sensor for measuring CPAP-Pressure, CPAP-Flow and CPAP-Snoring. Additionally, the built-in Pulse Oximeter records SpO2, Pulse Rate and the Plethysmographic Waveform. The modular design of the unit allows additional channels to be added for measuring Left and Right Leg EMG for he estimation of PLM, ECG using the NEW Active Electrode. Also, the NEW KOMBI ELECTRODE provides a Single Channel EEG and EOG signals to be added to provide full Sleep Staging.

The Connector and Sensors are robust and through Colour and Key Coding, eliminate confusion. When inserting the connector a positive CLICK is felt locking the connector in place.
A New and Interesting feature is the inclusion of PTT (Pulse Transit Time) Analysis. This Blood Pressure related signal helps to understand the association between Respiratory problems and corresponding Cardiovascular disease. It is also possible at a later stage to upgrade the SOMNOscreen™ RC to the full Polysomnography System SOMNOscreen™ PSG or SOMNOscreen™ PSG Tele with Telemetry Digital Video.

Application Details:
Before measuring data with the SOMNOscreen™ RC, you decide which configuration is required for each individual patient. The patients are then instructed on how to fit the necessary sensors and electrodes. All the required components are then placed in the clearly laid out carry case. The case is designed to store the unit with all the sensors and electrodes already in place so that the patients simply lifts the unit out of the bag and attaches it to themselves. The unit will can be programmed to start automatically at a preset time and will end the recording and switch itself off at the end of the study. The patient can sleep comfortably in his or her own bed because the complete system is fitted to the patient and there are no cables going to the bedside or external Headbox. This allows the patient to move about freely. There are many different configuration modes available to meet all your different needs. All the parts of the system that the patient may need to attend to, Connectors, Sensors and Electrodes, are robust and are both Colour and Key-coded to eliminate confusion and errors.
